Purpose of NFJP Grant To counter chronic unemployment and underemployment experienced by Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers Assist eligible Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers, including youth and adults, and their dependents, to receive career services, training services, housing assistance services Help stabilize their current agriculture jobs as well as acquire new skills they need to start careers that provide higher wages. Support better economic outcomes for farmworkers, NFJP also works to meet a critical need for safe and sanitary permanent and temporary housing. 15

Target Population 1. Career Services and Training Grants On the date of application for enrollment, in order to receive Career Services and Training, an individual who meets farmwork requirement, and must be either a(n): Eligible seasonal farmworker adult; Eligible migrant farmworker adult; Eligible migrant and seasonal farmworker youth; or The dependent of a migrant and seasonal farmworker; and A low-income individual who faces multiple barriers to economic self-sufficiency as defined in section 6 of TEGL 18 -16. 17
Target Population (2) 2. Housing Grants On the date of application for enrollment, in order to receive permanent Housing Services, an individual must meet the farmwork requirement and must be either a(n): Eligible migrant and seasonal farmworker; Eligible migrant and seasonal farmworker family; and A low-income individual who faces multiple barriers to economic selfsufficiency as defined in section 6 of TEGL 18 -16. Note providing permanent housing services to NFJP-eligible farmworkers should be a priority. However, NFJP Housing Grantees are also allowed to serve Other Individuals and Other Families. 18

Grant Modifications Requests, Review Process 33
Modification Process Write a formal letter of request addressed to your Grant Officer. Include modification type, grant name and number, and justification for request. Submit the final letter, signed by your signatory to FPO forwards request to Grant Officer. 34
