Ice. Bridge Connects with K-12 Classrooms • • Number of Students Teacher Lori Brink and her 6 th grade students at Emblem Academy in Santa Clarita, CA chatted directly with Ice. Bridge mission personnel flying over Antarctica on 11/21/2014 and tracked the flight of the DC-8 using the Mission Tools Suite for Education (MTSE) website Thirty-seven classrooms in eight states (CA, IL, KS, MD, MO, PA, NJ, NY) and Chile with a total of 867 students (616 unique students and 25 teachers) directly connected to the 2014 Antarctic Ice. Bridge mission personnel flying over Antarctica in the NASA DC-8 The NASA Mission Tools Suite for Education (MTSE) website allows students and teachers to track the position of NASA Airborne Science Program aircraft in real-time and participate in live chats with scientists, engineers and pilots who are onboard the aircraft and on the ground Classroom chats with mission personnel onboard the DC-8 flying over Antarctica took place during all flights on school days from October 23 -November 21, 2014 “Thank you so much for the chat!
