Nathan’s IEP May 18 th 2016

Purpose • The purpose of this meeting is to talk about and plan for my life. We will be talking about my goals and objectives from this past year as well as my goals and objectives for this coming year. I feel like I have made some great progress on my goals and objectives and I look forward to hearing what you have to add. • I am looking forward to learning more skills this year. • Lets begin….

This is my IEP Everyone please introduce yourself to the group

My Strengths • • • I am good at my job I am a good friend I like weather things I like train things I like cars

Concerns • At this time does anyone have any concerns for me and my future goals? • Nathan’s concerns for his future are focused on finding more employment and where/how he will live independently in the future.

My current weekly schedule • • Monday-Library with Dawn and grocery shopping Tuesday- Work at Pinckney Chrysler from 9: 30 -11: 30 Wednesday-Travel training with Bill Thursday-Work at Pinckney Chrysler from 9: 30 -11: 30 Friday-Hangout with Bayleigh Saturday. Sunday-

My current progress • I have been working really hard on my reading fluency and comprehension this year. • I did not report any weather related activity to Skwarn this year. • I have been working hard on answering questions when asked about things I have read • I have practiced using graphic organizer's with Dawn • I have learned to take the bus in Dexter and Ann Arbor (bus 9, 30, and bus 6) but I still need support from Bill. I am proud of my growing independence on the bus.

I want to work • At Amtrak fixing trains or working on the crossing signals in Dexter

I want to live • In an apartment in Ann Arbor because it is closer to the Bus. • I would like to have a roommate to help with the bills

Community activities I want to be involved in • • Best Buddies Taking the bus Shopping in Dexter Library

Things I would like to learn • • • More bus routes Classes on Weather Classes on Birds Train club Computer classes

Goals I want to work on in the next year • Dawn would like to see Nathan continue to work on his reading fluency. • Dawn would like to see Nathan continue to work on his travel training and independence in the community to include booking his own WAVE rides.
