What IS Narrative Writing? ► Narrative writing is text being put together to form a story. ► Your main purpose is to teach your audience a lesson or gain an insight in any kind of form.

What ways can I write a Narrative essay? ►First person (I. . me. . my. . ) ►Second person (you. . ) ►Third person (her. . him. . )

First: “I crept into the old house , body trembling, for fear of getting caught!” Second: “He went up the stairs, slowly, towards the unbearable shrieking!” Third: “You wouldn’t believe the sight we found in the depths of the old, creaky house!” ► Choosing a type of writing really affects your reader and their ability to be hooked to your topic!

Absolute MUSTS in a Narrative ► Start off with a time period or setting that you want your story to be based around. ► Use your characters/writing as an asset in your story to get the most affective responses out of your audience. ► Have an intentional purpose for writing and give clues throughout your characters and their motives for the reader to pick up and figure out as well.
