Regional Homeland Security Coordinating Committee (RHSCC) • Policy committee of MARC Board • Oversees regional emergency preparedness and homeland security grant funds.
Why should we focus on preparedness? • Reduce human loss of life • Decrease economic loss • Enable faster recovery • Support equity and engage the whole community • Increase day to day resiliency
Preparedness • Establish relationships & common principles for operational coordination • Develop and maintain database of regional resources • Develop volunteer resources – CERT and Medical Reserve Corps • Train and Exercise
METRO HEALTH CARE COALITION • Hospitals, EMS, Emergency Management and Public Health • Regular meetings, build relationships, develop plans, support technology solutions for emergency communications, trainings and exercises
Community Disaster Resiliency Network A forum for community-based, faith-based, and healthcare organizations to come together with emergency management and emergency services to learn about emergency planning and preparedness for the vulnerable populations they serve
