DEFINITIONS OF POLITICAL IDEOLOGY, ITS NATURE, SCOPE • The emphasis is put on the scope and the nature of the Political Ideology. • The Political Ideology is an academic discipline that deals with the study of government political processes, institutions, behaviours. • It deals extensively with theory and the practice of political thought. DEFINITIONS OF POLITICAL IDEOLOGY, ITS NATURE, SCOPE • The second week of the ‘Political Ideologies’ Course emphasised on several definitions of the political ideology, such as the definitions made by Max Weber, Karl Marx, Freidrich Engels, David Easton, Maurice Duverger. • On the other hand the concept of politics may be explained by the process of disagreement or by the process of alignment and harmony. The first one explains that the politics is an ongoing struggle of interests. The second one explains that the politics is the art of reconciliation of these various struggling interets. DEFINITIONS OF POLITICAL IDEOLOGY, ITS NATURE, SCOPE • The politics is influenced by the environments in which it is generated and it is developed.
