Current Fo. N Projects Status as of May 11, 2005 May 17, 2005 Fo. N WG 2
Project: Vo. IP Assignment Criteria • Tasked with development of potential assignment criteria for Vo. IP providers so that they could obtain numbering resources directly from NANPA. • The Fo. N needs to extend the time needed to complete its report on the criteria for Vo. IP providers to be directly assigned numbering resources. • Request that the Fo. N NANC due date be extended until the July 2005 NANC meeting. • The document will be sent to the NANC as soon as it is completed. May 17, 2005 Fo. N WG 3
Project: NANC LNPA Change Order 399 & 400 Report • Tasked with reviewing NANC Local Number Portability Administration (LNPA) Change Orders 399 and 400 to identify and analyze all policy, regulatory or consumer issues with having them coded into the next NPAC software release per the LNPA-WG’s recommendation • The Fo. N reviewed the change orders from two perspectives: (1) being coded into the NPAC release but not activated as well as; (2) if they were coded and activated along with the entire new NPAC release package • The Fo. N did not see any distinguishing characteristics when considering the change orders policy, regulatory and consumer concerns and therefore its analysis was considered to be the same whether the change orders were activated or not. • It was determined that the best approach to analyze the two change orders was to separate them and conduct separate evaluations. May 17, 2005 Fo. N WG 4
Project: NANC LNPA Change Order 399 & 400 Report (con’t) • Change Order 399 Recommendation – The Fo. N determined that it did not have any policy, regulatory or consumer impacts and should proceed per the recommendation from the NANC LNPA Working Group. • Change Order 400 Recommendation – The Fo. N report presents supporting and opposing arguments regarding any policy, regulatory and consumer impacts or technical need associated with this change order – The Fo. N was unable to reach consensus that the change order did not have any policy, regulatory or consumer impacts – The Fo. N was unable to determine if the change order should proceed per the recommendation from the NANC LNPA Working Group. May 17, 2005 Fo. N WG 5
