New Vision and Mission Statements Vision: NAMI NC envisions a state where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. Mission: NAMI NC provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

Focus Area 1: Ensure People Get Help Early • Reach more families, adults, peers, caregivers and youth-serving professionals with peer-informed education and support Education • Reach more adolescents and young adults with support and Support information Advocacy and Policy • Accelerate awareness education, early intervention, suicide prevention, and other supports for all people with mental illness

Alignment of your activities with the 4 Focus Areas and Strategic Objectives • NAMI NC will not be successful without your help • Support to Affiliates will include opportunities related to Focus Areas and Strategic Objectives in the plan. EXAMPLES • • • Grants for Inclusive community events, PADS training, NAMI SMARTS training---advocacy Training opportunities for teachers and faacilitators of signature programs NAMI Walks
