To meet the requirements of European Union it is mandatory to export Horticulture produce through Packhouses meeting the prescribe standards accordingly APEDA introduced Packhouse recognition scheme. 3. APEDA Endeavors during last one year 1. Gained market access for Indian Non- basmati Rice to China in July, 2018, 1000 MT has been exported. 2. Completed mutual recognition agreement process with Taiwan, South Korea and at advanced stage with Canada for Organic products. 3. As a result of Mango promotion programs organised in Almaty & Astana in Kazakhstan export of Mango commenced. 4. Facilitated Custom clearance facility at Guwahati airport & Exports from North East. 24

The First ever International Buyer Seller Meet on NER Agricultural products organized by APEDA at Guwahati. The conference marked the presence of more than 75 FPOs/FPCs. 8. APEDA organised first ever Conference cum International Buyer Seller Meet at Imphal, Manipur. Progressive farmers / grower groups from NER also participated in the event and interacted with the exporters. 25
