If ATTITUDE is such an important word, why do SO ? FEW people understand it?

Concept of attitude: “Attitudes are likes and dislikes – favorable or unfavorable evaluations of and reactions to objects, people, situations, or any other aspects of the world including abstract ideas and social policies”. An attitude is a person’s point of view towards something.
ATTITUDE is the composite of your Thoughts, Feelings & Actions. Your conscious MIND controls feeling and ultimately dictates whether your feelings will be POSITIVE or NEGATIVE by your choice of thoughts, then your body displays those choices through ACTION & BEHAVIOR.
Characteristics of attitude… �Attitudes are not innate �It is more or less enduring once they are formed �It stabilize a relationship between the person and object �The relation has motivational and affective properties �It encompass a small or large number of items
The Power of a Positive Attitude • High confidence. • Planning ahead. • Encouraging others. • Showing appreciation. • Thoroughness. • Conscientiousness • Alertness.

Negative Responses The negative replies to How are you? include phrases such as: �“Lousy. ” �“Terrible. ” �“I’m tired. ” �“Don’t ask, It’s not my day. �“Thank God it’s Friday. ” �“A day older and a dollar broker. ”

Attitude learning to change • I am too old to learn. • Learning is restricted to schools & colleges only. Because we get degree/diploma certificate. • Nobody is a potential source of learning for me. • If I learn, I will be over burdened with work.
Continued • If I share my willingness to learn, people will feel that I am a weak person. • I learn for others not for myself. • I do not gain anything by learning. • Whatever I have learnt in past is sufficient for me to be effective executive.
