A Hub for Research & Innovation A dynamic Northern Powerhouse in policing research and knowledge exchange Founded in 2013 as a platform for collaborations between universities, PCCs, police forces and partners across the north of England. New phase of development – HEFCE Catalyst Grant 2015 -2020 Harnessing: • Skills, capabilities and resources across the North of England. • Multi-disciplinary expertise in problem-solving. Delivering at a scale with real impact by fostering cross-force collaborations. Priorities: • Building research co-production capacity; • Testing mechanisms for exploiting knowledge and expertise to strengthen the evidence-base on which policy, practice and training are developed; • Supporting innovation and the professionalisation of policing. @n 8 prp www. n 8 prp. org. uk

DATA ANALYTICS Strand, Leeds ‘Mission’ ‘The Data Analytics strand will collaborate with police and academic partners to support data sharing, analysis, and use. Aiming to facilitate research collaboration, the strand will develop a forum and clearing house to improve data quality and accessibility. Improving access to police and other sources of hard to reach data will provide opportunities for police staff and academics to develop the innovative solutions needed to deliver effective policing at a time of diminishing resources’ @n 8 prp www. n 8 prp. org. uk
