Initiatives carried out by Myanmar’s youths essay competition, quiz, debate and impromptu talk University students visit schools and educate them about environment concerns share and discuss knowledge among each other and give seminars on environmental issues Youths disseminate pamphlets, brochures, leaflets to distribute environmental awareness among public and use mass media like radio, television etc Groups of students clean their campus, water trees, tend plants.

Role of Youths in Effective Environmental Management in Myanmar • improve the method of environmental education • youths observe the environmental conditions of other countries and study what they are doing to mitigate and adapt the environmental problems • actively participate and discuss in international forum, workshops, meetings etc. , • Myanmar's youths play a crucial role in environmental management together with local community by – protecting and restoring watersheds rehabilitating mangrove forests greening the dry zone in central Myanmar planting trees nation-wide
SUGGESTIONS ON POSSIBLE WAYS AND MEANS • As forestry students, we want to suggest that we should conserve existing natural forests and launch afforestation and reforestation programmes • Royal families or descendants from the world leaders should actively participate in environmental conservation • We should invite the well known youths in field of sports , movies , models and etc in ours environmental conservation activities • In addition, We want to suggest that everybody should responsive the following activities day by day……. . • Bring along cotton bags when you go shopping • Use your refrigerators carefully • Walk and bike bicycle • Use public transportation instead of your own car
Conclusion • At the moment, The climatic conditions in Myanmar generally do not reach the extremities • However, It is difficult to say that Myanmar is a country that can get exception from the phenomena of climate change. This year, temperature is significantly increased (e. g 45. 8° C in Central Dry Zone) more thunderstorms will occur in this year. snow-capped mountains in the northern Myanmar are melting more and more • Government has adopted mitigation measures for climate change and environmental degradation more effectively than before • Youths in Myanmar play vital role in environmental conservation • "Things do not change, but we(youth) can change the world” • Therefore, let us together create a climate for change for our planet.
