My child is a hybrid learner! In-person instruction starts Monday March 1 st (K 5) or Monday March 8 th (6 -8). Here’s what you need to know:
Hybrid Learners ● Monday & Tuesday: ○ Students attend school inperson. ● Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: ○ Students will learn from home. ½ Day! 9: 15 am 12: 15 pm
Safety is our #1 concern! We will take necessary precautions to try to keep our students, families, and staff safe and healthy.
Hybrid (In-Person) Learning: Before Entry A Health Screener will need to be completed EACH day before entering the building (so every Monday and Tuesday). ○ Questions include: ■ Have you experienced symptoms (fatigue, cough, shortness of breath) or a fever of 100. 4 degrees F or higher in the past 24 hours? ■ Have you been in close contact (less than 6 feet apart for 15 minutes or longer) with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days? ■ Have you tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days? ■ Have you traveled to another state in the past 10 days? ○ If the answer is YES to any of the questions above, your child will have to stay at home and do Remote Learning until they can pass the screener successfully.
Hybrid (In-Person) Learning: Entry ● Students may enter the building at 8: 45 am ● Students will enter and exit through the following doors: ○ Kindergarten, 1 st, 2 nd grade: Door 3 ○ 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th grade: Door 2 ○ 6 th, 7 th, 8 th grade: Door 6 ● Please wear a mask and practice social distancing during entry and dismissal! Hybrid (In-Person) Learning: Entry ● Staff will check that the Health Screener has been completed for the student for that day. ● Students will have their temperature taken as they enter the building and in their classroom.
Hybrid (In-Person) Learning: Classroom ● Students will wear a mask all day! (Have students start practicing now!) ● Students will have an assigned space, 6 feet apart from other students. ● Students should bring their chromebook, chromebook charger, and a water bottle! ● Students will eat breakfast and lunch in the classroom. ● There will be scheduled bathroom breaks. Bathrooms will be cleaned thoroughly before and after each use.
If your child feels sick. . . If, during the school day, your child exhibits systems or has a temperature 100. 4 degrees F or higher, you will be contacted IMMEDIATELY ! Your child will leave the classroom with their belongings and wait for you to pick them up in a Care Room. Please make sure we have updated numbers to reach you and other trusted adults!
If someone in our pod tests positive. . . Our pod consists of 12 students and 4 -5 teachers/staff. If someone in our pod tests positive, we will all quarantine for 14 days and continue learning remotely.
Remote Learners ● Monday- Friday : ○ Students attend school remotely, at home. Remote Learning ½ Day! 9: 15 am 12: 15 pm
Remote Learning Expectations REMOTE LEARNING EXPECTATIONS ● ● Students who have opted to remain remote for Quarter 3 will continue to have classes virtually between 9: 15 am-3: 45 pm. If there is a slight adjustment in class schedules, you will receive communication from homeroom teachers. Students who miss one block of class or more will be marked for a half day of attendance. If your student will be absent from class, please call the main office at (773) 534 -3060. Remote students are expected to engage in the lesson per usual by using their camera, unmuting their mic, typing in the chat, and using ed. Tech tools. Teachers will prioritize both in-person and hybrid students during lessons. Hybrid students will follow remote learning expectations on Wednesday-Friday.
