What is the Career? I want to become a pharmacist in the future. Pharmacists is medical professionals who dispense medicine prescribed by doctors.

Why did you choose this career? I chose pharmacist because 1. I love the composition and synthesis of drugs. 2. The biological and chemistry behind it. 3. I like how it works in your body. 4. I am also interested in knowing how does it work with the body at the molecular levels.

what is the education requirement? What is the education path? Pre-Pharmacist requirement Science Requirements Biology 1&2 with Lab Chemistry 1&2 with Lab Organic 1&2 with Labs Physic with Labs Microbiology with Labs Math Requirements Calculus Pre-Calculus Statistic Social Science English History Sociology or Psychology Effective Speech HOWEVER; Different Pharmacy school requires different GPA and Pre-Requisite. Also, there’s PCAT you have to complete in order to get into pharmaceutical school. This is very challenging because all the subject are combined in the PCAT test. For instance, Math, Science, English, Chemistry etc. . . are all combined in this test.

What is the job outlook? After becoming a pharmacist, it is likely to find job in variety of places. For instance, you can work at a hospital, retail store, clinic or even at home.

What is the salary? According to American Association College of Pharmacy, Pharmacist yearly salaries range is from $116, 000 to $140, 000. However, Salaries may varied base on the location you are employed and also the company you work with.

Describe a typical day!! Working as a pharmacist can be frustrating or irritating depend on the patients or customer you deal with. A typical day of a pharmacist are *Get to work from 8: 00 am-4: 00 pm(8 hours shift) *Prepares to dispense the requested medications that are ready to be picked. *Check medical history to make sure there’s no mistake in prescribing medication. *Lastly, review the dosage description and remember to interpret it correctly.
