Torquer Prep & Detachment – from IFU If the device position is satisfactory, proceed

Torquer Prep & Detachment – from IFU If the device position is satisfactory, proceed with detachment: Confirm under fluoroscopy that the Microcatheter tip is proximal to the MVP Device. • Attach the torquer (depicted below) to the delivery wire, and detach the device by rotating the delivery wire counterclockwise until it separates from the device. • Verify successful detachment fluoroscopically by slowly pulling the delivery wire proximally to make sure the MVP Device does not move. In the unlikely event the MVP Device moves proximally, re-establish placement and repeat counterclockwise rotation for detachment.

Torquer Prep & Detachment • Detach the MVP device by rotating the delivery wire

Torquer Prep & Detachment • Detach the MVP device by rotating the delivery wire counterclockwise until it separates from the device. (Usually Takes 3 -5 complete 360° rotations for detachment) Black Ridge on Torquer – Aids in Rotation Counts Rotation Direction for Detachment is Counter Clockwise – Towards Physician (if holding the Torquer with his/her Right Hand)
