Music Video Pitch By Ellen, Ariel, Libby and Cameron.
Initial Idea 1 Teenagers mum passes away, dad becomes distant. Kid shown reading book on how to lucid dream, writes dreams in diary. Teenager is sad and looks back on videos of when they were together, starts crying. Smokes an illegal substance – dad finds it, beats him up. Teenager goes to bed with photo of mum. His sleeping body is lifted and transitions to him alone in the woods. Hands come from behind over his eyes and he turns round to see his mum. Cuts to his sleeping body but now he’s smiling.
Initial Idea 2 Man has to move to a different city for work. Girlfriend doesn’t want to leave. Two separate stories go on where the girl does or doesn’t go. If she goes the story is standard and they are happily ever after and get married. If not they are both very sad and fall out of contact. They often come in to very close contact with each other (same building just missing each other) but never see each other. Ends when they end up bumping in to each other and then they’re happily ever after.
Initial Idea 3 (Plot) The music video starts with a couple who are happy. Throughout the song the couple become aggravated with each other and the relationship turns abusive. The change in relationship is shown through the use of dance. His emotional anger develops into physical abuse which leads to the girls death.
Locations: Drama Studio The drama studio will be used for the dance scenes because we can incorporate the lighting with spot lights to emphasise the movements and express the emotions of the girl and the story of the song.
Locations: Libby’s House Libby’s house. The bathroom will be used for one scene in which the guy drowns the girl. The rest of her house will be used for happy flash back scenes.
Locations: Naseby Reservoir will be used for happy flash back scenes.

Actors Libby Kirk as the protagonist, who will be the victim of the relationship. Vulnerable, innocent girl to suggest she is unaware of future dangers, this builds a sympathetic view of the character. Cameron Trevena as the antagonist, his attitudes change throughout the video from happy to angry and possessive, because the girl keeps trying to leave the relationship which causes arguments and fights.
Costumes For the drama studio scenes, Libby and Cameron will be wearing all black. For the other scenes, both actors will be wearing casual clothing.
