Silica-Gel Desiccant Packets What is Desiccant Technology? ● A desiccant is a substance that absorbs or adsorbs water. It is most commonly used to remove humidity that would normally degrade or even destroy products sensitive to moisture. – Adsorbers (Collect moisture in their structure - like sponges) • Silica Gel • Molecular Sieves (Zeolites) – Absorbers (collect moisture through chemical change) • Lithium Chloride Simple Silica can hold 40% it’s weight in water Silica-Gel Desiccant Wheel

Standard Desiccant Dehumidifiers Patented Honey. Combe® Technology » Dehumidifier is based on Munters unique Honeycombe® sorption drying wheel » Media removes moisture from process air » Wheel rotates to reactivation section » Heated reactivation air drives moisture away » Reactivation energy form electric, gas or steam » Performance is affected by ART – Airflow, Rotation and Temperature

Power. Purge ● Energy saving option for ICA's; allows up to 40% reduction in reactivation energy, and a 20% reduction in cooling. ● APPLICATIONS – Standard option in ICA size 0750 and larger – Retrofit for HCE’s

Desiccant Wheel Choices ● Titanium Silica Gel - Durable & insoluble ● Lithium Chloride - broad application range ● Molecular Sieve - low dew points over wide temperature ranges ● HPX - High performance hybrid ● GTR – up to 100 grain depression ● Power Purge Enhancement
