Multiple Intelligences is simply the way people learn. Traditionally, only linguistic and mathematical intelligences are incorporated into lessons, essentially leaving out students who process information in other ways. • The various forms of intelligences can include: • Intrapersonal- Self smart; in tune with one’s needs • Interpersonal- People smart; cooperative learning Logical/mathematical- Number smart; understand logical connections
Musical- Music smart- express oneself in rhythm Visual/Spatial- Picture smart; learn through visual arrangements, art, and beauty Linguistic- Word smart; enjoy verbalizing thoughts Bodily/Kinesthetic- Body/Sport/Hand smart; learning through movement
ELACC 5 RL 2: Determine a theme of a story, drama, or poem from details in the text, including how characters in a story or drama respond to challenges or how the speaker in a poem reflects upon a topic; summarize the text. I can determine theme of a text. Content Objective: Students will be able to identify theme of The Giving Tree after listening to the story. Language Objective: Students will be able to orally explain to a group what he/she thinks is theme of The Giving Tree.
