Verbal/Linguistic O Use language to express what is on your mind and to understand other people. O Good at reading, writing, telling stories, and memorizing. O Learn best by reading, taking notes, debates, and listening to lectures.
Existential O Ability to ponder questions about life, death, and the world. O This is an intelligence that is questioned by most theorists.
Interpersonal O The ability to understand other people. O Learn best by working with others.
Intrapersonal O Having an understanding of yourself, of knowing who you are, and what you can do. O Usually prefer to work alone. O Careers that are good for people with intrapersonal strengths are attorneys, psychologists, and writers.
Naturalist O Sensitive to the natural world. O Good jobs for naturalists include farming, gardeners, and naturalists.
Bodily/Kinesthetic O Control over your whole body. Great body memory. Can use your body to solve problems. O Learn better by moving around and being physical. O Jobs that are good include pro-athletes and pilots.
Musical/Rhythmic O Think in music. Able to hear patterns, recognize them, and manipulate them. O Learn best by hearing lectures. O Jobs – singer, dj, composer
Visual/Spatial O The ability to present the spatial world in your mind. Able to visualize in your mind. O Jobs – artist, architect
Logical/Mathematical O Ability to understand underlying principles of a system. This has to do with logic, abstract thinking, reasoning, and numbers. O Traditionally do well on IQ tests.
