TARGET AUDIENCE On release fans finally got to witness what they could expect from the game they have been waiting over a decade to come out, so the developers instantly wanted to attract the attention of the original fans of the franchise which was first released in 1997. This didn't stop the developers from attracting new fans to this line of game, which caters to the lovers of gritty and dark games with a slight hint to humour. As the franchise is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland based in the Washington D. C area. Full of dark and funny characters altered by the new world they live in.
Price, Configuration, Portable Today the price is quite low as the franchise has received new entry’s and this game does become less played. You can play this game anywhere if you have a device that can play it on as this game is single player only. Not much can be done to configure your game but you can change the colour of the Ui to meet your personal preference. This trailer is does contain text on the screen during the advert portion of the trailer and once this is finished it does transitions from the advert to the present day and this is following by a typical type of song that be heard in this game. The rest of the trailer is a mix of real in game footage of different enemies, weapons and locations. The video may buffer due to low internet speeds. Interactivity You can decide what quality you want to watch the trailer in. There’s not much interactivity in this as it’s just a video. Quality The trailer is available in full HD. This still may be lower than the quality of today’s trailers due to no CGI moments. You are unable to change much about the viewing experience aside form setting it to full screen. FIT FOR PURPOSE/MEETS TARGET AUDIENCE My chosen linear product is fit for purpose as it is designed to give viewer's a small piece of an up and coming product for the dedicated fans, but also allows new fans to see if they are going to enjoy the game also. The main target audience for this trailer in particular is for people who prefer the more darker and eerie settings in game, with a hint of realism and comedy in the midst of all the dark features in a post apocalyptic world.
FIT FOR PURPOSE/MEETS TARGET AUDIENCE My interactive product fits the purpose of being a new instalment of a franchise of survival and dark games, but also still retain the comedy in life, as through out this new world you come across a lot of different characters who act in a lot of different ways. As for the target audience it has attracted many different types of players such as original fans from the previous games, new fans you have a likening for this type of game and fans of similar games to this one. This game is targeted at the older generation of players as it does have a mature side of events. This game achieves this high popularity the game gives you with its open world feature as you are the one that makes the decisions about certain decisions that most games don’t allow you to do. In terms of usability this game follows well constructed and easy to use controls with not much struggle to use them. As for accessibility the game does contain a semi-large open world which may put pressure on older devices but up to date devices should have no issue running this game. Visual effects Animation
