MISSION The Office of Multicultural Services and Programs works to create an inclusive campus environment by supporting the development and affirming the overall experiences of all students, particularly multicultural students.

PROGRAMS Chow & Chat A monthly dialogue series, on the third Thursday of every month intended to encourage dialogue among the UGA community about significant issues affecting students, staff, and faculty of UGA. Cultural Heritage Months Black History Month (Feb. ), Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Month (Mar. 15 -Apr. 15), Latino Heritage Month (Sept. 15 -Oct. 15), Native American Heritage Month (Nov. ) PRISM Discussion group for students who identify as LBGTQA and a person of color. Developed by the LGBT Resource Center and MSP to recognize and address the intersection of race and sexual orientation. Rite of Sankofa African Rite of Passage ceremony that takes place every May. Open to all undergraduate, and professional students who are graduating. Social Justice Soapbox Series Provides community for faculty members to share their research related to social justice, inclusion, etc. Raise Your Voice! Open Mic Gives students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to come together and share their art in a welcoming environment.

WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS Offer a variety of mulitcultural, diversity, and social justice workshops individually designed to assist students, faculty, and staff in understanding topics such as identity development issues of inclusion, dynamics of oppression, and power/privilege. Workshops are available upon request. Programs are tailored to meet needs or interests of requestor. Request forms are located on their website Please submit your request at least 4 weeks in advance
