PROJECT OVERVIEW • Our team is working to create a toilet seat addition that will help wheelchair-users transfer to and from a toilet in public restrooms • Requested functions include: • Lifting/lowering for hygiene • Tilting for transfer • Support system for those without arm or core strength

PHASE II ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Analyzed current prototype and identified shortcomings • Selected necessary functions for new prototype • Functional decomposition • Designed concepts for each function with respect to sub-functions

SUMMARY • There is a lot of carryover from last year’s design. • Primary changes to previous design include: • • Extra set of hydraulics for tilting Torso support Back support Adjustable arm support
