We will be having our vision and hearing screenings next week. If you have not already done so please return the permission slips, so that your child can be screened. You will need to fill out both sides of the paper. Also, student council is having a food drive for the Tinley Park Food Pantry starting next week. I am sure they will be sending a note home, but I thought I would let you know in advance. Sight Words Had What This So What We’re Learning Literacy: This week we read the story “The Three Billy Goats Gruff”. The new words we learned from the story are rushing, valley, fine, trampled, and roared. We learned about the sequence of a story and we made character sticks that we used to retell the story. We also read the poem “Grumpy Old Troll”. Phonics: We are reviewing all letter sounds. We are focusing on the Hh sound and the words you and do. We are finding pictures of things that start with the letters H and C. Math: This week we worked on Numbers 11 -20.
