Tardy Policy: n A student that is not inside his/her classroom with all their materials when the bell rings, is considered tardy. A student is expected to be in class and ready to begin work at the beginning of each instructional period. n 1 st Tardy – Verbal Warning n 2 nd Tardy - Teacher Detention and Parent Notification n 3 rd Tardy – Office Referral and 1 period of ISS n 4 th Tardy – Office Referral and 1 period of ISS n 5 th Tardy – Office Referral and 1 day of ISS n 6 th Tardy – Office Referral and 1 day of ISS n Each succeeding tardy will result in one day of OSS.

Course Materials: 3 -ring notebook/dividers, paper, pencil, pen or colored pencil, CALCULATOR, other materials as needed Binders Students will be required to keep a separate binder with dividers for this class. Periodically throughout the semester, teachers will check for binder organization and will also give assessments to ensure students are using their binders and keeping up with class materials. Grades each quarter: 40% Tests(must use pencil)/Projects 30% Quizzes(open notes) 15% Classwork: Bellwork, in class assignments, notes, binder check, 15% homework (graded based on attempt and completion) FINAL EXAM 10% of overall average n If absent, a grade of 0 will be entered into gradebook. 5 days to make up work and replace the 0. n Tests/quizzes must be made up in class the next day or after school. If made up in class, the student is responsible for the notes/work missed while making up test/quiz. ■ HW 1 day late is half credit. No credit after that. ■

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES: Any student with 10 COMPLETE (100%) assignments will get a homework pass (if they bring it to my attention). ■ Students who make an A on a test or quiz will get a homework pass and their name on the “Wall of Victory”. ■ Students who score an A on a test/quiz or who improve their previous test/quiz score by 10 points (before bonuses is added) will receive 5 bonus points. ■ MLA Heading on all quizzes/tests for 3 points! ■
