Communication • Homework Planner – Assignment Notebooks are filled out in class for Homework – Parent/Guardian’s Signature: Please review and check that all work is completed before signing each night. • Email: jrhodes@bridgeportedu. net • Power School – Power School is an online grading program. It will give you the chance to check your child’s progress via the Internet. – Grades will be updated weekly. – Mid-Terms will be sent home during the middle of each quarter. – Report cards will be sent home at the end of each quarter.

Daily Homework Reading Log • All assignments are to be neat, properly set up, complete, and turned in on time. Homework is due the 11: 59 pm if it is posted on TEAMS. In-Person learners bring in the assignment the following morning. • Students will be required to read for 20 minutes each night and complete the reading log on TEAMS. • Assignments close a week after their due date. This means assignments will not be accepted after a week, unless specified by the teacher.

Weekly Homework • Friday Correspondence Journal: • Students will be required every Friday to write a quick letter to parents telling them about their week. • Parents are asked to write back to students. • The FCJ is graded using a 110 -point rubric. This rubric will be stapled each week to your child’s letter so they can see what areas they need improvement in when writing the next letter. • Many students look forward to hearing back from their parents or family members.
