Completing homework on time and to expectation is an important element of fifth grade. Assignments and due dates are given to students in a timely manner. Students are responsible for writing assignments in their agenda book daily in each class. Assignments can also be found on the online agenda on the fifth grade webpage. Students who do not turn in assignments on time are given a homework mark, which will be noted and highlighted in their weekly Tuesday folder. Late homework/assignments are also deducted 10 pts for every day late.
Your child will have the opportunity to go on the FIFTH grade annual Outdoor Education trip to Sky Ranch in Van, TX. Trip dates: April 23, 24, 25 of 2018 We leave at approximately 8: 30 AM on Monday morning on AISD school buses from Story Elementary. We will arrive back at approximately 2: 30 on Wednesday afternoon.
The cost will be approximately $200. 00 for students. This cost covers bus expenses, lodging, and food. This amount will be payable in cash, or by check made out to Story Elementary. We will be setting up payment plans. You may pay in full, or make payments throughout the year (we will give you more specific dates at the beginning of next year). The final installment will be due by the end of March, 2018. Online credit card payments and payment plans will also be available soon through the Story website.
