CELL PHONES Mrs. Lillard believes that cell phones are devices found in prison cells. You get one call per week. Are for social media. Why do we need to leave our houses? Have a place and a purpose, but are rarely used in this class and should rarely be seen in this class. Have a place and a purpose, but tend to distract most of us from the task at hand given our lack of self discipline.
PROBLEM SOLVING According to Mrs. Lillard, a good problem solver Knows what to do when he doesn’t know what to do. Never has to ask questions. Works alone. Has a community of learners in which he shares in collaborative thought.
MRS. LILLARD BELIEVES THAT… Mathematics is a spectator sport. Sit back and watch the show. Mathematics is a loner sport. You’re on your own buddy. Mathematics is better learned with each other. Communication is helpful. Mathematics can be tough. Get a buddy to help.
