A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF v I graduated from Brigham Young University. v I taught 9 th grade, 10 th grade, and AP 12 th grade Language Arts last year. v My first year at Willis Junior High and am very impressed with the administration and faculty here. v I am excited to prepare your 8 th grade students for High School.

QUARTERLY INDEPENDENT READING PROJECTS v Quarter 1: from Book to Big Screen v Quarter 2: Book of choice v Quarter 3: Utopian/Dystopian Society v Quarter 4: Classical Literature v These are to be books the student has not read before. It is an independent project, therefore they will be done out of class.
TECHNOLOGY PRESENTATIONS v Students will be using different presentation formats for each of their independent reading projects.
HOMEWORK HELP v Homework hub Monday through Thursday until 4: 50 in the media center. At the homework hub students will have access to computers for their school projects and a teacher to help them. The students can take the late bus home at 4: 50. v D House: We are each staying an afternoon so the students can come to our room and get help in a specific area. v I will be here on Wednesdays. If your student needs any help in Language Arts, Please have them come in.
