Reading Reader’s Workshop: We will continue Unit 7: Making Predictions Writing: We will begin our study on Realistic Fiction. Word Study: Unit 18: Long U patterns (Examples can be found on the back of this page). Test will be Friday, February 10 th. *Our spelling test reviews patterns, not a specific set of words!* Science/ Social Studies This week in Science, we will begin Chapter 5: Lesson 2 Clouds & Weather. Our test will be Friday, February 10 th over Lesson 2 only. In Social Studies, we will explore President’s Day and what it looks Like in the past, present, and future of the United States. Vocabulary We will continue studying the following terms’ definitions and meaning: Diagram, frustrating, graduate, prank, primary, risk, stress, urge, vacant, and vigorous. **Test will be Friday, February 17 th Math This week, we will conclude Chapter 9: Comparing Fractions. A chapter text will be given Tuesday.
