* Mrs. Arthun’s Classroom Procedures and Expectations! It is important that students bring a certain ragamuffin, barefoot irreverence to their studies; they are not here to worship what is known, but to question it. ~Jacob Bronowski
* You are REQUIRED to bring books, paper, and something to write with to class every day. If you have to go back to your locker for any reason, you will be charged a tardy. *
*Get to class ON TIME! If you are not IN YOUR SEAT when the bell rings, you are late. Please see the student handbook for school policy on tardies and detention. *
*The only time you are allowed to leave class is in the case of an EMERGENCY! If an emergency occurs, you don’t need permission just leave the room. You may bring a water bottle to class. NO POP! You are allowed to chew gum in class as long as I don’t see it or hear it. The first time I find a piece of gum on the floor or under a desk this PRIVILEGE will be revoked. *
*You are mine until the bell rings! Please stay in your seats. *
*The EXPECTATION in this classroom is that you will turn in all your work ON TIME! All assignments are due at the beginning of class unless otherwise instructed. There is NO EXTRA CREDIT. Get your work done and turned in on time and you will be fine! – see student handbook for additional information on the school homework policy- *
*This is your responsibility. There is a folder outside of my door where you can pick up work missed in class. You are responsible for retrieving the work, asking questions at the appropriate time, and turning the work in for credit. *
*We type papers using MLA format. In order to receive credit for any typed assignment, proper format MUST be used. * Double Space * 12 PT. Font * 1 inch margins *Any cases of plagiarism will result in a zero on the assignment and referral to the principal for discipline *

*Lesson plans for the week will be posted on the bulletin board. Refer to these and then see me for clarification/instruction before or after school or during study hall. *
*If you have questions about anything, please ask for help. If you don’t want to ask during class, stop by before or after school or during my prep, and I’ll be happy to help you.
