Motorbike Chosen Theme components Ronan Mc Brearty Chosen
Motorbike. Chosen Theme & components. Ronan Mc Brearty.
Chosen Frame for Bike.
Standard Frame. • I went with the standard frame but with a few minor adjustments to measurements and angles. • I will also be adding the bracket section onto the headstock area of the frame as shown in the above sketch. • The new dimensions will be shown later in the PPT.
Chosen Handlebars For Bike.
Handlebars. • I like the design of this particular handlebar detail hence why I picked it, also because it will be keeping in tune with theme of my bike. • I will be making the handle bars from aluminium. • I will be making a former to help me to get the handlebars to the correct shape that I require.
Chosen Exhaust For Bike.
Exhaust. • In Relation to the exhaust I have come up with a few different solutions as to what material to use to form the exhaust. • I was thinking of using Nylon, Stainless steel tubing or just a round Aluminium bar that will be drilled and reamed.
Chosen Seat for Bike.
Seat. • The seat will be made from aluminium and formed to the required shape and size. • The seat will be built up with furniture foam. • I will discuss later in the PPT how the seat will be finished off.
Chosen Mudguards.
Mudguards. • For the mudguards am thinking of making a former out of wood and placing the metal into the former and beating it to shape. • I will use either mild steel or aluminium for the mudguards. • The back end mudguard will join onto the main frame, while the front mudguard will be attached onto the forks by the means of a bracket.
Engine.
Engine. • The Engine shown above is similar to the one I have bought for the motorbike. • I will clean it up by sandblasting the engine and spraying it silver, to give that real effect.
Chosen Theme for the Motorbike. • I love Ireland but it broke my heart.
Irish Heritage To Be Theme. Irish Shamrock for head stock of bike • The Shamrock will fit in nicely with theme of the motorbike. • Irish Shamrock will be situated on top of the steering mount. • Obviously it will have to be larger in size so that it covers the steering mount. • I will be making the Shamrock from Mild Steel or Aluminium.
Irish Heritage To Be Theme. Irish flag as the seat cover. • Again the flag is keeping in tune with theme of the motorbike. • To make the flag I will just get 3 pieces of material and join them together. • The heart will then be stitched onto the flag to represent theme of the bike. • Thinking of leaving the back end of the flag lose on the seat and install a mini fan into the furniture foam, leave the fan on and give it that affect the motorbike is moving.
Irish Heritage To Be Theme. Irish Harp as the tank. • The Harp will be based on the cruiser style tank. • It will be shaped the same having the same features but it will be harp which is representing it. • I will be making the harp out of foam and hopefully that it will look as good as the image shown above.
Irish Heritage To Be Theme. • Other idea’s that I have to give the bike that more Irish affect is to spray the exhaust black with a white tip in relation to the Irish drink Guinness. • I will hopefully etch or engrave the word Guinness onto the exhaust. • I am also thinking of making foot pedals/rests in the same shape as the Irish rugby/FAI logo, just to add more character to the bike.
Just A Few Sticker Idea’s For The Motorbike
Base For Motorbike Idea’s. • For the base of my bike am thinking of having a right angle base like your horizontal and vertical plane. • On the horizontal plane, is where am hoping to make a roadway on a piece of ply with a old style stone wall built beside the road to give it the Irish countryside look. • While on the Vertical plane am thinking of painting on a blurry countryside image to give it the affect that the motorbike is moving. (See slide below) • This of course all depends on time.
Finally. • There a number of other accessories that I would like to add to the motorbike, Obviously again this will be permitting on the time available to me. These little things would add a lot to the motorbike and more importantly to the appearance which is crucial.
