Moose Hide Campaign The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Men who are standing up against violence towards women and children. Wearing this moose hide signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together with other men to end violence against women and children. Our vision is to spread the Moose Hide Campaign to organizations, communities, and governments throughout Canada.

Moose Hide Pledge Always treat girls, women and younger children with love, honour and respect. Be supportive of other boys and remind them when they are not showing love, honour and kindness and respect to girls, women and younger children. Be willing to listen and accept help to change if someone reminds me that I am not showing kindness and respect to girls, women and younger children. Help others and seek help for myself if we are hurting or angry and feel like we will be unkind or even violent to a girl, woman or child. Be a healthy role model for younger boys and teach them to respect girls, women and children. Inspire the men in my community to change because of the way they see me behave towards, and talk about, girls, women and children.

Activity: In groups of 4 or 5 ● Each group will be given one of the points of the pledge ● Discuss ways you could demonstrate this part of the pledge ● Write your part of the pledge in the middle of a piece of poster paper or using Google Drawings ● Write your ideas of how to support and demonstrate this pledge in the space around it ● Present your poster to the class
