Project Timeline – Discussion and location search phase l l l Early January: City contacted by Sinking Ship Entertainment (SSE) with proposal February 4: SSE visits, tours sites, meets with PRCS Mid-February: Ward Councillor & Mayor’s Office made aware of SSE’s interest 3
Project Timelines – Site evaluation phase • February 18: Dragon Boat Festival and HOPE Summerfest alerted • February: City and SSE consider location options and jointly identify Mooney’s Bay as optimal location • March 1: SSE submits Community Partnership Major Capital application for Mooney’s Bay project • April 5: Project qualifies for Council approved Cash in Lieu of Parkland Funds Policy 4

Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment l l l Geofirma Engineering analysed all of our previous and current studies to evaluate potential risks. Studies include Phase 1 & 2 Environmental Site Assessments, ground and surface water, soil analysis. Site conditions do not pose unacceptable human health risks to park visitors. 20
Soil Management Plan l l 19 test pits dug in and around work area Full laboratory analysis provided Some samples exceeded MOECC guidelines All material from site will be disposed of at an approved waste management facility 21

Project Funding l Phase 1 – Site Preparation by City l l May 9: Tree relocation and removal May 30: Bridge removals June 1 – 16: Excavation, Drainage, Geotextile and Engineered Wood Fibre Funded by existing lifecycle renewal funding budgeted to remediate this area (~$200 K) 23
Project Funding 2 l Phase 2 – Giver 150 Playground l l $959, 750 Cash-In-Lieu of Parkland (CILP) – City-Wide account $959, 750 – Value of SSE’s total contribution 24

About the Playground l l “Largest playground” refers to size of layout for play equipment (Map of Canada) Standard size play structures and play equipment (swings, slides, spring toys) Maximum height of structures: approx. 20 ft All equipment CSA approved and compliant with AODA and City accessibility standards 27
