Current Data Collection Methods Accurate record keeping is the most fundamental administrative task within the Teachers' Pension Scheme. As an employer or Payroll Provider, the submission of service is vital for both you and your members. Method Description Annual Service Return Mandatory annual exercise completed by 7 th July which includes service and salary details of all members for the previous financial year. TR 28 Used to identify and update periods of missing service or amend any incorrect data held on record. TR 6 Used to identify a new starter. TR 8 Used to notify Teachers’ Pensions that an employer has withdrawn from an establishment. Certificate of Re-employment The certificate is used to identify re-employed members in order to monitor their earnings limit.
