ADN to BSN Pathway Pre-Nursing Students Summer and Fall Pre-Nursing Immersion events Met with

ADN to BSN Pathway Pre-Nursing Students Summer and Fall Pre-Nursing Immersion events Met with over 200 pre-nursing students since August 2016 Current Nursing Students Regular meetings with interested 1 st and 2 nd semester students applying for the upcoming Dec. 1 deadline Health Sciences Transfer Day event on Oct. 24 with 12 recruiters in attendance and over 40 student attendees Presentations MD/DC Nursing League on Oct. 29, 2016 Counseling and Advising’s Major Fair event on Nov. 2 nd and 3 rd. MC’s Recruiters meeting on Nov. 2, exploring opportunities to have additional promotional materials to share with MCPS schools and to collaborate with the Nursing Dept. to organize school visits (at MC and MCPS).

M 2 ADN In contact with over 40 Military medics since August 2016 Prof.

M 2 ADN In contact with over 40 Military medics since August 2016 Prof. Bateman, Bilal and Harrell visited the Military Education Training Command (METC) in San Antonio, TX in November and attained the curriculum. After submitting our curriculum to the METC command, Montgomery College will be on their site as a location for Medics to attain further education. Prof. Bateman, along with the Transfer office and Science Chair, have begun process to streamline science credit for prior learning in the Military. Prof. Harrell, communicates regularly with the WRNMMC nursing department and discusses the program with medics. Prof. Harrell is coordinating a round table discussion to be held on campus in February 2017 with Military Members to discuss mentoring. Prof. Bateman will be presenting in January 2017 at the The Association of Faculties for the Advancement of Community College Teaching (AFACCT).

We received 51 nominations Hybrid Train the Trainer: 71% returned Outcomes: Increased use of theory-based debriefing methods Implementation of INACSL Standards of Best Practice Development of curriculum maps Workshops 8 workshops have been conducted since May 2016 Equipment Requests: We received 10 applications. Simulation Library: Pre-briefing, Debriefing (DML) and Care of the Transgender Patient. More for 2016 -2017 Next Steering Committee Meeting: Dec. 13, 2016
