Chapter 27: Environment and Climate Change TRANSPOSITION Regulation on Limit Values of Pollutants in Liquid Fossil Fuels (OJ MNE 43/2010) transposes the following: • Scope of the directive • Number of definitions • Maximum sulphur content of heavy fuel oil • Maximum sulphur content of gas oils, including marine gas oils • Other requirements related to marine fuels (art. 4 b. 2 i 4 b. 3) • Maximum sulphur content of marine fuels used by ships at berth • The reference method adopted for determining sulphur content and the arbitration method MONTENEGRO Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 27: : ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Chapter 27: Environment and Climate Change TRANSPOSITION Law on protection of sea from pollution from ships (OG MN 26/2011) transposes the following parts of the Directive: • Enursing that the sulphur content of all marine fuels sold in • • Montenegrin territory is documented by the supplier on a bunker delivery note Take action as appropriate against marine fuel suppliers that have been found to deliver fuel that does not comply with the specification stated on the bunker delivery note Emission abatement technologies for ships shall be approved in accordance with directives requirements MONTENEGRO Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 27: : ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Chapter 27: Environment and Climate Change Transposition plans • Amendments to the Law on protection of sea from pollution from ships OG MN 26/2011 in accordance with MARPOL VI is planned by 2014; • Amendments to the Regulation on Limit Values of Pollutants in Liquid Fossil Fuels (OJ MNE 43/2010) in accordance with requirements of the new Directive 2012/33/EU by 2016.
