PARLIAMENTARIANS FORUM FOR DEVELOPMENT EVALUATION IN SOUTH ASIA
OBJECTIVES OF THE PARLIAMENTARIANS FORUM � Establishment of National Evaluation Policies � Creating a dialogue between legislators and evaluation community � Improving the capacity of parliamentarians on M&E � Establishing country level mechanisms
IN IMPLEMENTATION, THE FORUM FOCUS ON � Emphasizing need for NEP at international fora (in 2013 Kathmandu, Colombo, Sao Paolo and Manila) � Formation of country teams to work on national evaluation policies � Raising awareness on need for national evaluation policy � Providing support to on-going national evaluation policy process � Conducted mapping exercise to map out status of national evaluation policies
FORUM PLANS � Provision of technical support to country M&E teams � Promote need for evaluation policies in different forums � Advocacy support for the country teams to draft national evaluation policies
PLANS FOR AFGHANISTAN To be led by AMENA in collaboration with all key stakeholders, � Drafting a National Evaluation Policy for Afghanistan � Two days workshop for parliamentarians � Get the govt and other stakeholders involved in Eval. Year 2015 � Establishing an active Monitoring and Evaluation Society
