TIME FOR SCIENCE!
Lesson Time! Today we will learn about endangered species. Every animal and plant on Earth is important to the well-being of the planet. What happens to the species on land, in the air, and under the oceans directly impacts our lives. And as our environment continues changing, Earth's wildlife is reacting in different ways. Some species are in trouble, and others are moving from one habitat to another. This collection of articles from Scholastic News Online provides information on species that are endangered, like pandas and fish that live in coral reefs. There also articles about animals that have begun to increase in numbers, like the grizzly bear and bald eagles. You'll find information on endangered plants, too.
Learn More Watch the video to the left about one of my favorite endangered species. As you watch the video, think about the following: ● Why are they going instinct? ● How can we help?
Learn More Go Here! ● Choose an endangered species to learn more about ● As you read, think about why that animal is endangered and what we can do to help! Submit your responses to your teacher.
Play at Home Go Here! If you have a printer at home, you can print off this game about endangered species to play with your family!
Your week is complete! Take a little time to watch this baby giraffe take its first steps! Never give up!
