Capitalization & punctuation Capitalization means use of capital latter. So the rules of using capital letter is called capitalization The word ‘punctuation’ is taken from the Latin word ‘punctus’which means symbol or dot. punctuation is used to indicate meaning, pronunciate etc. of a language
The rule of capitalization & punctuation The rule of Capitalization Rule 1: At the beginning of a sentence. Exampple: He was born in Dhaka Rule 2: First letter of proper noun (name of place, person etc) Example: He came from Chattogram
The rule of capitalization & punctuation Rule 3: First letter of a famous place, river, ship Example: The Twin Tower, The Megnah, The Titanic Rule 4: First letter of title or Desingnetion Example: Akber, The Great, Alexander, the Conqueror

Rule of punctuation Rule 1: Use of Comma(, ): To stop in short time we use (, ) in a sentence. When some nouns are used in a sentence. Example: Rana, Rubel, Tania, Mamun and Nahida are my dear students Rule 2: To indicate two or more clauses in a sentence we use (, ) Example: All men, high and low, rich and poor attended meeting.
Rule 3, Use of Colon(: ) Any Example, number, or explanetion we use (: ) Example: There are two kinds of Narration: Direct narration and indirect narration Rule 4, Semi-colon(; ): If there is a relation of two part of a sentence we use (; ) Example: We will come in time; otherwise we will be punished
Rule 5, Note of interrogation(? ) At the end of a interrogative sentence we use (? ) Example: When did you come? Rule 6, Note of Exlamation(!) At the end of a Exclamatory sentence we use (!) Example: What a great fool you are!
