MOE Students on Winning Streaks I would like to highlight several students tonight! These students are on winning streaks.
Successful Students on Winning Streaks O Growing confidence in ability. O Optimism rules: always expect to succeed. O Strong desire to succeed. O Whatever effort in needed. O “I am willing to risk trying-I can get this”
Results? Winners/Losers O Our schools were designed to leave lots of students behind- they were to rank us on achievement by the end of high school: O Result? Winners/Losers
How ever society’s priorities have changed: O NOW WE NEED ALL WINNERS-at least when it comes to meeting lifelong learner standards…. . O Previously, if a student gave up in hopelessness and stopped trying, it was the student’s problem-not the teacher’s or the school’s… O Our mission is to put every student at MOE on a winning streak.
Jaxon Ayling Fifth Grade O Jaxon is a fifth grader in Mr. Haerling’s classroom. O Mr. Haerling writes: O Jaxon is very dependable. O He finishes his work on time. O Meets his AR goal. O Is nearly a straight A student. O He plays youth football and is a good role model for our students.
Mercedes Reynolds Fourth Grade O Mercedes is a fourth grade student in Mrs. Curry’s room. O Mrs. Curry writes: O Conscientious worker. O Sees the big picture of being self responsible and developing strong work habits. O Dependable and consistent makes steady progress.
Alejandro Hernandz Third Grade O Alejandro is a third grade student in Mr. O O Duguay’s class Mr. Duguay writes: Alejandro can connect his present efforts and successes to his readiness for the future. Product of the bilingual program. Only really began to read english in second grade, now reading above his 3 rd grade level. Has great math scores and the most AR points in his classroom.
Steven Jonasson Chelan Graduate O Came to the Chelan School District in first grade. O Recent Graduate of Chelan High School. O Current studying at Western Washington University. O Karl Jonasson is here in Steven’s behalf.
