Workplace Reflection 1. Make a list of the qualities possessed by a good employer, employee and customer. 2. Brainstorm what happens if these rights and responsibilities are violated. 3. Write a one page story that depicts a negative workplace. Think about the things that make this workplace negative.

Do you think his job stacking milk crates will really be better than school? • Read Robert Gray’s poem ‘The Meatworks’, which is about a young person’s job in an abattoir. Resource 3 - ‘The Meatworks’ 1. What did Gray learn from his experiences on the job? 2. Compare Condon’s piece with Gray’s poem. Which did you prefer? Explain your response, including some discussion of the language used by each writer.
