What is the Model NATO Challenge? A scholarship competition. Students are evaluated on their application, essay and performance. The Challenge is a global crisis simulation based on real-world, current events.

Why? Learn about one of the 28 NATO Member Countries Study with a Mentor from a NATO Country Learn about protocol, diplomacy, consensus building and leadership Build new relationships Top 6 finalists receive scholarships

PERKS Resume building New friendships & cultural exchange Attend a field trip to NATO ACT HQ Top 28 applicants become Student Diplomats and compete for scholarships 6 alternates are chosen and participate in all activities VIP at NATO Flag Raising Ceremony Each Student Diplomat and Alternate will attend the Virginia International Tattoo with a parent/guardian Student Diplomats and Alternates participate in the 62 nd Annual Parade of Nations
