Customer Education Ignition Module Coils • Primary winding – 74 Turns • Secondary winding – 4, 400 Turns – Connects to spark plug • 60: 1 Step-up Transformer • Trigger coil opens the circuit for the primary winding

Customer Education Breaker Point Ignition Systems • When points are closed, magnetic field builds up in primary winding • When points open, magnetic field in primary winding collapses thru secondary winding • This creates enough voltage to fire the spark plug
