“ “Even though we had mock interviews, I felt I was facing a real interview. I felt a bit nervous and excited trying to find a better answer for the questions. Although I prepared for this fair, I felt I need to practice and prepare more for the real interview. As the interviewer, I can realize the employer’s perspective and review which answers are better to them and this gives me a different angle to think about. ” Zhi “I did not have experience about job interviews in Canada so this was a chance for me to have experience. Next time, if I had a real job interview, I would be a little bit more confident and I could know how to have good behavior in a job interview. ” Thuy “When I open my own business, this experience will be useful to me. ” Chongok Student Feedback ”
Example Challenge/Lesson learned: One group (bank) didn’t get any applications for the custodian position and looked at how it was written up in same style as the financial advisor position. Students reflected on meeting different needs for different positions within a company taking into consideration the level of position/ salary/comparison between career and job/ different needs and application processes.
