General Guidelines Typed, double-spaced 12 point font – Times New Roman 1 inch margins on all sides Indent first line of paragraphs ½ inch from left margin (tab once, not 5 spaces) • Use italics not underlining for titles of longer works • Use quotation marks for shorter works • •
General Guidelines • Include header Newell 1 – Upper right-hand corner – ½ inch from top – Flush with right margin – Last name – space – page number – Sometimes omitted on first page (instructor preference) – We will include headers on page one.
