• Missionary Enterprise is the main business concern of the Church • Missions do not receive support from the Pagans Missions Partnering!
• Church People are STILL the main supporters of Missions • Missions Involvement is one of the standards that believers are tested • Church People are recognized as either Helper or Hinderer of Missions Partnering!
Hinderer • Diotrephes, v 9 -11 Condemned 1. Loves to be the First. 2. Refuses Leadership. 3. Malicious gossip. 4. Does not Cooperate 5. Stops others from helping 6. Drives helpers out of Church!
Hinderer • Bad Example, Do not imitate • Evil Influence, Do not be deceived • Unacquainted with God, Do not listen to his cause.
Helper • Gaius, Demetrius. . Commended 1. Authentic, walks in the Truth, v 3 -4 2. Faithful, in welcoming & aiding the mobile preachers, v 5 3. God-honoring, doing and giving the best that befits God! V 6 b 4. Works as a partner for the truth, v 8 5. Good example and influence to others, v 11 -12
Lessons Highlighted 1. Walking in the truth includes propagating the truth. 2. Pursue Excellence; it honors God and is worthy of God.
On Missions Involvement: “Give God your firstfruit, not your leftovers. ”
Sending in a manner worthy of God! Happens because. . 1. Of your obedience to Duty 2. Of your love for God’s Work 3. Of your sense of God’s Worth
