Equity All students have equal access to quality staff, courses, activities, services and resources

Equity All students have equal access to quality staff, courses, activities, services and resources based on their individual needs. Ensuring equity in education is a necessary component in narrowing the achievement gap. Teachers and school leaders ensure equity by recognizing, respecting, and attending to the diverse strengths and challenges of the students they serve. Equity is not simply giving each student what they need, but also removing barriers to participation and access to programs and activities. High-quality schools are able to differentiate instruction, services, and resource distribution to respond effectively to the diverse needs of their students, while removing barriers, with the aim of ensuring that all students are able to learn and thrive at high levels in all aspects of the curriculum.

Achievement Teachers and staff have the knowledge, skills, expertise, and resources to ensure continuous improvement for all students. Staff is focused on continuous evaluation and improvement of our programs and use data to make changes when needed. Ensuring achievement in education is critical as all students deserve to have the best instruction and support possible. It is imperative that we provide teachers and staff with the training and skills to ensure that the highest caliber of instruction and support is provided in all classrooms and at all sites. With these skills, teachers can then focus on the learning of students through the Professional Learning Community process.

Community Stakeholders work as a team to provide a respectful environment that fosters learning

Community Stakeholders work as a team to provide a respectful environment that fosters learning through positive relationships and engagement among students, adults and our diverse community. Ensuring a sense of community is vital to supporting our students. Research shows that when schools, parents, families, and communities work together to support learning, students tend to earn higher grades, attend school more regularly, stay in school longer, and enroll in higher level programs. There is a significant positive correlation between school, family, community involvement, and student success.
