Miseenscene I chose a plain background so you
Mise-en-scene: I chose a plain background so you concentrate on the subjects face. I also chose it to be black so the flash crates good lighting on the subjects face. I chose The subject to fill up most of the photo so you are concentrated on his face. I could have improved the mise-en-scene by having the subject wear non school uniform to show his personality. Mode of address: I chose the subject to be posing to represent him as being confident. I could have improved the mode of address by making the subject have a direct eye line to further show his confidence. Camera: I used a close up so you are concentrated on his face. To improve I could have it slightly closer so he is filling more of the photo.
Mise-en-scene: I chose this location because it has a plain white background and is inspired by David Bailey who also uses plain backgrounds in some of his photos. I also chose the location because it makes you concentrate on his face and creates a good shadow behind. I also chose the subject to fill all thirds further making you concentrate on his face. To improve I could have slightly altered the lighting so that there wasn’t a bright light on the glasses covering his eye. Mode of address: I chose the subject to have a plain expression and direct eye line to give him a confident and powerful emotion crating a similar effect to how David Bailey takes his. Camera: I chose to do a close up so that the main concentration is on his face
Mise-en-scene: I chose this location and background because it represents the subject as being maybe quite lively. It also gives an interesting colourful feel. I used natural light and a flash to give the subject good shadows on his face. I also had the subject filling all thirds so that the main focus of the photo was on his face. Mode of address: I chose the subject to have a slight smirk so that his expression goes with how the background represents him. I also chose a direct eye line to show confidence in the subject Camera: I chose a close up shot so the main concentration is on his face
Mise-en-scene: I chose this background because it is quite plain and you are more concentrated on the subjects face more than anything else in the photo. I also took this outside because the natural light, lights his face up well and gives a good shadow. I also chose the subject to be filling most of the photo to further the concentration on his face. To improve the mise-en-scene I could have chosen a more plain background because this one has quite a lot of marks on. Mode of address: I chose an indirect eye line, looking downwards because it portrays the subject as in confident and sad. I also chose the subject to have a closed mouth showing he may be trying to hide or hold back his emotion. Camera: I chose to take a a close up shot so that the main focus of the photo it on his face.
