Transportation Management in Cambodia Problem : Traffic Congestion and Traffic Accident With dramatically growth of the People and vehicles, we have problem with road traffic congestion as well as road traffic accidents. Road Accidents are now alarming disaster and caused 4, 322 cases of traffic accidents in which the casualties are 1, 958 deaths and 5, 702 serious injuries and 8, 192 slight injuries and economic losses are estimated more than three hundred millions USD.

Improvement of Public Bus Operation in Phnom Penh City q Problem: • The city faces severe future challenges of traffic congestion - Which will cause daily hardship for its people - Affects productivity and economic performance of the city. • There is also a heavy environmental cost which affects quality of life, now and into the future. • This will require PPCA to provide strong leadership for an effective q Solution: • Building wider roadways and flyovers often attracts more traffic • Public transport, and NMT provides efficient alternatives • In Copenhagen almost 50% of all daily commuting in on bicycles.
