MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS MINIMUM PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 Preparation: • Calculate the maximum number of congregants to be allowed in the Sanctuary for service only. No Sunday School in-person at this time. This number does not include the worship team or AV team members. • • Initially, we will set the limit to 40 (registered via Signup Genius) in the Sanctuary with a 10 -person buffer (for visitors). The 40 will include the worship, AV, and the usher/welcome teams. Social distancing markers need to be used in the pews (at least 2 empty seats between parties in any row) and on the floor with six feet separation (leading to the restrooms). Two or more members of the same household can sit adjacent to one another, with six feet separation on either side. Alternate rows (pews) between attendees. Inventory of masks, hand sanitizer, soap & water will be made available to congregants. Sanitizing stations will be set up close to the entrance and the exit. English congregation will be instructed to sit in sections 1 & 3 (counting from left to right) in the Sanctuary; Chinese congregation will be instructed to sit in sections 2 & 4. Establish a room (i. e. , Room 123) in the church for an individual or individuals who become sick with COVID-19 symptoms while attending a church service – until they can safely leave to seek proper medical attention. Establish visible signs encouraging congregants to observe the protocols and practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Share expectations and protocols with all congregants (via email, ACC website, small group leaders, etc. ) before the re-opening.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Disinfect any items that come

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Disinfect any items that come into contact with congregants. • Regularly and frequently clean and disinfect any regularly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, chairs, and restrooms. • Disinfect seats after services. • Make hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap and water, or similar disinfectant readily available. • The difference between cleaning and disinfecting – although cleaning and disinfecting seem like synonyms, there is actually a key difference between the two. • According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), cleaning removes germs from a surface, while disinfecting kills them. • For best results, you should clean surfaces and then disinfect them. That way, you are removing as many germs as possible and then killing any remaining germs on the surface.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Perform an inventory of Personal

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Perform an inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and develop a use protocol. • Identify a team member responsible for performing weekly inventory of all necessary PPE. Also, determine lead times for ordering. • Develop a deep cleaning and disinfection protocol. • Identify building areas and other high-touch areas that require disinfecting. • Perform an inventory of disinfectants and sanitizing equipment and establish guidelines for product use and storage. We will train staff & volunteers on disinfectant use. • We will frequently review updated guidance by identifying team members to review updated guidance from the WHO, CDC, EPA, and Texas Department of State Health Services.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Masks are MANDATORY and must

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Masks are MANDATORY and must be worn for the duration of the service. • Masks are most essential when social distancing is difficult. • Note: Masks should not be placed on children younger than 2 years old, anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious, and anyone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance. • Masks are meant to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms. • Masks should be offered to congregants who do not have their own. • All team members who engage in the sanitation process will need to wear masks and gloves at a minimum. A face shield is recommended.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Screen staff and volunteers before

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 • Screen staff and volunteers before coming into the church. • Send home any staff/volunteer who has any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: • • • Cough Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Chills Repeated shaking with chills Muscle pain Headache Sore throat Loss of taste or smell Diarrhea Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100. 4 degrees Fahrenheit Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19. • Have staff and volunteers wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the facility. • Have staff and volunteers maintain at least 6 feet separation from other individuals. If such distancing is not feasible, then other measures including face covering, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness, and sanitation should be rigorously practiced.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 Arrival / Check in: • Congregants

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 Arrival / Check in: • Congregants will be required to check in at the Welcome Desk. • Welcome team greeter will wear face shield and gloves to check the individual’s temperature (we will provide infrared non-contact thermometers) and ask a list of basic COVID-19 questions. • Anyone exhibiting a temperature of 100. 4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will not be allowed to enter and will need to return home. • A Welcome team greeter or greeters will be posted at the main entrance (the doors (only one set of doors) facing North) to the lobby to enforce maximum capacity. • We will place 2 of the new hand sanitizing units at the entrance. • Congregation waiting for 2 nd service must social distance while they wait in the lobby. • We should consider leaving the doors to the Sanctuary open for the entire duration of the service. It is one less point of contact that congregants have to deal with.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 Departure: • Team member make sure

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 Departure: • Team member make sure that all congregants leave immediately after the service. • One-way traffic is the goal. We will have congregants exit through the door near the organ (front right of Sanctuary when facing the pulpit). We will place 2 of the new hand sanitizing units near the exit. • At the end of service, dismiss congregants by rows to eliminate crowding near the exit. • Staff makes announcement to the congregants before & after service, the hygiene, sanitation, and physical distance protocols to be followed. • The offering box or the tithe. ly app (contribute digitally) will be used for giving to the church. One should be available at the entrance of the sanctuary and another one at the exit. • Team members ensure that physical contact between individuals is NOT allowed. • We will sanitize the sanctuary, lobby, bathrooms, welcome desk, doors before and after each service. All disinfecting products must be used according to the specified directions on the label.

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 CDC considerations: • Clean & disinfect

MINIMUM STANDARD HEALTH PROTOCOLS Church re-opening document 10/2020 CDC considerations: • Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces at least daily and shared items in between uses. • Develop a schedule of increased, routine cleaning and disinfection. • Avoid use of items that are not easily cleaned, sanitized, or disinfected. • Ensure safe and correct application of disinfectants and keep them away from children. • Cleaning products should not be used near children, and staff should ensure that there is adequate ventilation when using these products to prevent inhaling toxic fumes. • Ensure that ventilation systems operate properly and increase circulation of outdoor air as much as possible by opening windows and doors, using fans, etc. Do not open windows/doors if they pose a safety risk to children. • Consider scheduling worship services far enough apart to allow time for cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces between services. • Take steps to ensure that all water systems and features are safe to use after a prolonged facility shutdown to minimize the risk of Legionnaire’s disease and other diseases associated with water.
